Jamie and his team were excellent from the get go. We had a problem with our van after having a re conditioned engine put into our nissan caravan and the first garage we went to in Christchurch said we needed a full new gearbox of $3000+ with labour. We were suggested vantage through the company we brought the engine off and thankfully Jamie and his team found the problem pretty fast on the air intake/TPS side - we had a few complications due to another affecting factor which vantage again took swift action and had us booked in the next available slot and got this resolved. Through the whole ordeal, Jamie and vantage were excellent communicators, never sold us a lie and you can truly see that Jamie and the team are truly passionate at problem solving and getting a solution as quickly as they can.

I cannot speak highly enough of Vantage Auto Diagnostics.
After having my car - an older Toyota Estima Hybrid at the main agent (you will know who they are) for over a month (including the first days following the XMas- New Year holiday period) with no progress and only occasional call backs, I had my car towed to Vantage. Within c.7 business days, a necessary used part was sourced, fitted and found to be faulty, and a second used part was sourced, fitted and the car returned to me. Throughout Vantage communicated regularly and proactively.
In summary
MAIN AGENT - no progress for over one month, poor comms, sporadic return of calls, quoted price just under $3K, no loan car possible despite several requests.
VANTAGE - car fixed and returned to me within 7 business days, frequent unsolicited comms, cost of less than $1600, ie approximately one half the cost quoted by the main agent. Vantage are now my first point of contact when my car needs further attention.
In summary, Vantage were quick, half the price of the main agent, and now I once again have a car that I can use.
In project management terms there is a maxim, "You can have it fast, you can have it right, you can have it cheap. Pick two." With Vantage I received all three!!

Jamie was so kind and dedicated in fixing our car’s issue with its power socket. He was very helpful and generous in sharing his knowledge with us so that we would be able to solve the problem if it were to recur in future. Would highly recommend anyone to visit him and his team at Vantage Automotives!

Jamie is a pleasure to deal with honest and transparent where things will cost more and where he can get savings will try options as a process of elimination before jumping to big spend. Also provides great advise on mountain bikes! Highly recommended
