Booked a truck with them, however they had no clue if it was going to be automatic or manual and couldn’t take the risk of not having a truck on moving day was then charged $170 for cancelation fee. In future would be good to see the staff have some idea of what product your purchasing. Would not recommend
Had a very good experience initially with this company. Hired an old but functional truck with tail lift to move house on a rainy day. Good service on pick up. Filled it up prior to return until first click as usual. Returned and they charge a fuel fee and costs which added $45 to the final bill! Pretty annoyed as the photos they sent then showed the tank not full. Complained but they have chosen not to waive / refund so hence this review. Beware but otherwise was a decent rental.
I had a good and easy experience with u-save when hiring a cargo van. The pick up and drop off process were super simple, and the staff were friendly on both occasions. I took the van from Christchurch to Wellington (and back) and had no problems along the way. The van was a bit beaten up on the outside but still did the job and got you from A to B with no issues at all. I did the zero deposit and excess option so can't comment on the deposit side of things, but I found the whole process and experience really easy. Would use them again if I need a cargo van.
We hired a box truck with tail lift. That was the best decision to help us moving to a new house. The staff at U-Save were awesome, very kind, polite and professional. The truck was clean and extremely esy to use. The tail lift was a game changer to my aging back - no more lifting heavy furniture and whiteware above your waist!
It was so easy, I’m so sorry by I didn’t get his name but the customer rep set up my trailer for me checked that it all worked. When the trailers lights weren’t on he changed the trailer and make sure I knew exactly what I needed to do and what would be covered in insurance. When I returned my trailer he was outside with another customer and promptly came over after finishing with the customer he had and took off the trailer and sent me on my way. Super easy service!
