Located at Christchurch, the Riccarton market is a nice all round market like a flee market where everyone comes. I would say the price of stuff here are more affordable and close to everyone. You can find things from daily use and market supplies and of course food.
Got to mention the DOUGNUTS there the mini ones are highly addictive. From only buying 10, eventually became buying 60 of them. That addictive i would say! Super nice fluffy and crispy on the outside.
During the period there is Xmas busking on stage as well.. very nice and cosy place for family's to come (;
Love from singapore family!

Small than when I was here 9 yrs ago. But still worth going. Was looking for Maori Taunga for my grandchildren. There were 4 stalls with greenstone and carved bone . Necklaces, earrings, rings etc . Managed to find what we were looking for😀. On an aside the food trucks and stalls were delicious 😋 large range of foods. KS cakes and creations. The cookies were delicious and well worth the money.
Check out her goodies. Yummmmm sorry eaten before thought to take photos. But trees are beautiful this time of year. Blossoms everywhere.

great place to spend a Sunday afternoon — family-friendly with plenty of secondhand goods to browse. There’s also live music and tasty Asian food to enjoy.

The market itself was fairly same same but oh my gosh..then there were dumplings🤤🤤🤤ate them all before even thinking to take a photo but did buy some of the dumpling sauce that I put on the top as it was seriously good and the ladies that were making them were an absolute delight😊
They were in the main market area not the food section.

Almost every time I visit CHCH i come here. Unfortunately it's not as good as it used to be. Still some lovely stalls however there's more food trucks than sellers. I went with a local who hadn't been for awhile and probably won't go back anytime soon. The locals really need to look at what they can do to bring people back, not sure if it's the rental cost that has put people off or there are better options out there now.
I'd hate to see it close but from my last 2 visits it's on the cards.
