Small than when I was here 9 yrs ago. But still worth going. Was looking for Maori Taunga for my grandchildren. There were 4 stalls with greenstone and carved bone . Necklaces, earrings, rings etc . Managed to find what we were looking forπ. On an aside the food trucks and stalls were delicious π large range of foods. KS cakes and creations. The cookies were delicious and well worth the money.
Check out her goodies. Yummmmm sorry eaten before thought to take photos. But trees are beautiful this time of year. Blossoms everywhere.

Located at Christchurch, the Riccarton market is a nice all round market like a flee market where everyone comes. I would say the price of stuff here are more affordable and close to everyone. You can find things from daily use and market supplies and of course food.
Got to mention the DOUGNUTS there the mini ones are highly addictive. From only buying 10, eventually became buying 60 of them. That addictive i would say! Super nice fluffy and crispy on the outside.
During the period there is Xmas busking on stage as well.. very nice and cosy place for family's to come (;
Love from singapore family!

Gorgeous place first thing in the morning. The people are friendly, the food is AMAZING and the live music was a wonderful touch.

The market is pretty cool, heaps of stalls and a lot of variety. The food is a real mixed bag though. You can get an incredibly large and varied selection of items from the stalls, heaps of high quality goods for a good price, including produce. Vendors will sell books, old tools, custom made metal works... Just an expansive market overall. I would thoroughly suggest the Asian food stalls, one lady I bought noodles from sold a hefty bowl of noodles and sweet and sour chicken for 11 or so dollars. Would eat there again.
