We recently rented a Toyota Highlander Hybrid for our 4 day Christchurch/Dunedin road trip. The service was top notch with quick and easy airport collection and drop off. The vehicle itself was near new and superb in every way - full Apple Play with detailed maps, spacious reclining seats for our family of 5, and a full tank/charge driving range of 820 kms. All in, the price including full zero excess insurance was better than all other rental companies for a vehicle of this type. Thank you Snap Rentals.
1-Star Review: Substandard Quality & Poor Accountability I had a very disappointing experience with SNAP. The vehicle provided was in a condition well below professional rental standards. When I raised these concerns, the company dismissively claimed the car’s condition was "appropriate," showing a complete lack of accountability. The compensation offered was unfair and didn't even begin to cover the gap in quality. If you expect a reliable vehicle and professional service, I suggest looking elsewhere. I’ll let other customers be the judge of whether this level of service is acceptable.
Great experience with car rental and Snap team Snap team was responsive to my pre-rental enquiries. On the day of pick-up, the very friendly driver picked us up from Christchurch Airport quickly and efficiently. At the counter, Munesh was really helpful. We had some issues with Apple CarPlay which he quickly resolved. He also advised on the insurance package to get with Snap (zero excess). Which in the end worked out for us. Unknown to us, during the rental period, somehow the windscreen got a crack and that was picked up by Munesh when we returned the vehicle. Due to the zero excess policy we have, there was no further fee to pay. Overall a great experience and great value too. If we are ever back in NZ, we will rent with Snap again.
Great service, nice car, no worries. And Thomas remembered the phone mount I forgot when we cleaned out the car after a 2 week rental. Off airport location so leave an extra 20-30 mins for the shuttle but well worth it. Highly recommend.
Such an easy experience. The staff were friendly and efficient and so prompt with pick up and drop off. The car drove perfectly and didn’t miss a beat. Great price too. Super happy with this choice.
