    Absolutely fantastic experience! The team really listened to what I was looking for and offered the perfect solution. They went above and beyond to ensure I got exactly what I wanted. The staff created such a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere, and genuinely cared about my hair, making the whole experience a joy. Will definitely be going again. Thank you so much !!

    I’ve been avoiding getting my haircut as seem to have bad experiences with hairdressers and I’m never truly happy with the result. Not this time! Sophia was amazing!! She actually listened to me and gave me options for what I wanted, clearly explaining to me how each option would look with my curly hair. When I asked for her opinion she gave it, which was genuinely appreciated. Sophia was thorough when checking length and made sure I was happy with each step of the process. I was really impressed and super happy with the result. While I don’t get my hair cut as often as I should, I won’t hesitate to book in with Sophia at Rodney Wayne Riccarton again!!

    Mary is an absolute miracle worker!! My son went to her with the hopes of getting a botched haircut fixed (different salon). Mary proceeded to give him the best haircut he has ever gotten!! Super happy :) We will definitely be repeat customers!!

    I recently visited your salon for Bronde Balayage service and faced several issues. The blonde color on the crown of my head appeared ginger, and when I mentioned this to the stylist, she claimed it was just lowlights. After some discussion, she agreed to redo the top foils. Unfortunately, I had to leave after top foils had been redone as i had to do school pick-up. The colour throughout my hair is inconsistent (photos attached), leaving me feeling that I wasted both my time and money. Considering the time and expense—$540 for a senior colourist, who won an award winning specialist in colour - I am disappointed that the results do not match what I requested.

    Thank you for your response. I understand that your team spent a lot of time on my hair and that adjustments were offered. However, your reply feels quite defensive and doesn’t really reflect what actually happened during my appointment. After the colour didn’t turn out as discussed, I agreed to let the stylist tone it again, but during the washing process the water ran down my back and into my face. Nobody apologised, and afterwards, no one really spoke to me. The atmosphere completely changed from how it was at the beginning, and I left feeling very uncomfortable. Also, it wasn’t me who decided not to pay — it was the staff who told me not to, probably because they saw that I was unhappy. My review was not about the price; it was about how the whole situation was handled and how it made me feel as a client. I shared my experience honestly so others can understand what happened. I hope this helps you reflect on how to handle situations like this more professionally in the future.
