Happy with the black loafers I purchased, but it's only been 2 days since date of purchase. (I'll edit this review as time goes to update on the condition of my shoes).
However, it would've been nice to have been told about the 20% off Welcome code upon signing up to their thing. However, since it was my first time purchasing off Number One Shoes for myself, I had to sign up when I was at the counter before paying for my loafers. The Welcome code (via email) arrived after I received the email receipt for the loafers. I was confused about the eligibility around this - e.g., was I supposed to purchase a pair first before I can redeem the 20% off code?
So today, I called their customer service (not Northlink's store's phone; the 0800 one), and asked exactly that same question. What they told me was that I can return the shoes, get refund, then reorder the same shoes with the code.
Now, why would I do this? This is unnecessary and could've been prevented if the 20% off code was used before I paid for the loafers AFTER my mobile number and email address were used to sign up. I'm not typing the code here for obvious reasons, but it's a VERY simple code that I'm 100% sure all of their staff would know by heart. Also, when I was paying at the counter, there were still 15 mins left before closing and pretty sure I was the only buying customer left inside the store.
Because of this experience, I think this is the first and last time I will be buying from this company.

Was served by two different "younger ladies" they were both helpful and friendly. We went in on a mission to buy a certain leathetr shoe for a wedding. Came out happy. They were on sale too which is a bonus. I actually complimented both of them in store as I was impressed with their customer service and attitudes.

I bought a pair of training shoes from this shop, but unfortunately the experience was not good.
The size fitting is very strange – even though I took my usual size, it does not fit properly.
Also, there is almost no comfort, which is disappointing for shoes that are supposed to be comfortable for daily wear or workouts.
I hope the shop checks the quality and fitting of their shoes properly before selling, because customers expect comfort and correct sizing.

The service was absolutely shocking I was in there for an hour having to find multiple sizes and styles myself. I asked if there was any sizes available as there were none on the shelf and was spoken to like it was the stupidest question I could’ve asked. She was no help in finding further options and was blunt in everything she said. I was met with one genuine hello throughout my time there but apart from that staff tried to avoid eye contact and crossing paths

One star. I went in ready to buy boots and even tried on multiple pairs, but not one staff member acknowledged me or offered help. The staff were too busy gossiping to assist customers. I felt completely ignored the entire time. It's appalling service, and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. I'd rather shop somewhere that actually values its customers.
