The hotel is strategically located in the city center. Unfortunately the cathedral is under renovation and is not visible. The hotel is very beautiful, and the staff is helpful and friendly. The room has an excellent view of the city, the bed is very comfortable, and there is a good selection of pillows. Breakfast was perhaps the only flaw. The savory selection was varied, but the sweets were a bit limited. As for fruit, they served melon pieces with the rind on, which was in contact with the pulp, and we found a couple of pieces with mold...perhaps there is room for improvement. Overall, an excellent hotel.
I recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel, and I cannot express how fantastic my experience was! From the moment I arrived, the staff welcomed me with genuine smiles and warmth. They made an effort to remember my name, greeting me every time I walked through the foyer. This personal touch made me feel like a valued guest, which significantly enhanced my stay. The service was outstanding; the team couldn't have been more helpful. Whether I needed assistance with directions or anything, they were always eager and available to assist. Their friendliness and attentiveness truly set this hotel apart. The accommodations were comfortable and clean; with all the amenities I needed. I particularly enjoyed the cozy atmosphere and the attention. Overall, we all left with wonderful memories and a sense of having been truly cared for during my stay. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a place that combines exceptional service with a welcoming environment!
From reception to check-out, this hotel delivered a great experience. The room was clean and comfortable, with a slightly unusual layout (external sink) but a fantastic view and a very comfortable bed. Casting was also built into the TV and seamless. Both dinner and breakfast at the restaurant were excellent—great food and attentive service. The staff’s hospitality stood out throughout the stay, making it feel warm and personal. The location is ideal, right in Cathedral Square and close to the bus interchange, making it easy to explore the city. A 4-star hotel with a 5-star experience—highly recommended for anyone visiting Christchurch.
A bit aging hardware but everything was clean and tidy. The breakfast was very delicious. Two outstanding aspects of this hotel. Fiestly it is located right in the heart of Christchurch CBD. It has very good views. Can walk every direction and you can reach something! Secondly it is the extremely kind and professional staff! I had a few occasions I needed help and all of the staff I talked to helped me as it was their issues. I am extremely thankful even today! I travel often but this stay to this hotel was exceptional! I strongly recommend this hotel and I will stay again!
Perfect location just right in the middle of town next to the square and the city library. We only back in Christchurch for a couple nights to visit family member so we decided to stay in the city central so we can walk to food and some museums when we have free time. I love the view of buildings and the mountains backdrop from our room. Spacious room with comfortable bed and a great shower. Smooth and quick check in! Jenny at the reception was super friendly and helpful, she was making sure we were okay with finding the right car park and the online form. We had a some food at dinner in the Square restaurant and Patrick was very friendly and professional! Breakfast was classic and good quality especially a fresh cut fruits.
