Best car rental company I've ever used. Great value, cars are modern, clean and well maintained. Easy/fast check in and out process and free shuttle to the airport, all so convenient and fast. Thankyou so much guys, definitely our go to every time we visit NZ :)

Wife and I got a cool little Toyota Vitz to run around on. Tidy & very economical. No issues with online booking, shuttle pick up from airport no issues. Thanks Keryn, was nice to meet you.

We rented a car for 30 days on the South Island. The car was from 2017, and despite this, it was well maintained, and served us without any problems. From the beginning we received good treatment, detailed explanations, and remarkable service throughout the entire period. We highly recommend renting a car from them. It's worth it and it's good!

I booked a mid-size SUV, but was given an old Mitsubishi (2008 model) that was in poor condition. At pickup, I requested an upgrade or a different vehicle, but was told no other options were available. The car had headlight issues, which we didn’t notice at first because we collected it during the daytime and didn’t drive at night initially. On New Year’s Eve, while going out for a late dinner, we were stopped by the police due to the headlight problem. This clearly shows the vehicle was not properly checked before being rented out. During the trip, my back pain became worse, and the car was uncomfortable to drive. There was also no reverse camera, which you would normally expect when booking a mid-size SUV. I understand it was the Christmas holiday season and availability was limited, so I had no real choice. However, this car was not cheap — 5 days at $178.52 per day — which makes the experience even more disappointing. That said, the service itself was good. The airport pickup and drop-off were on time and well-managed, which I appreciate. Please inspect the vehicle carefully before accepting it. Based on this experience, I will not book with NZ Rental Car again.
