I a disappointing experience here today, especially as I’m a regular customer. I ordered a mixed meat with naan, and after waiting around 20 minutes, I noticed the staff member cut a naan bread in half and used it for my order while other customers were getting full naan breads prepared fresh.
When I politely asked about it, instead of explaining properly, he started making excuses saying it was a different type of bread. I had already seen him preparing the other orders, so it didn’t feel honest.
What made the experience worse was his attitude when I questioned it — he became annoyed rather than trying to handle the situation professionally. As someone who comes here regularly, I expected better customer service and honesty.

Very disappointed with my experience at Maihan Supermarket. Yesterday we went to buy lamb shank, but instead of packing the meat from the cabinet, the butcher went inside (possibly to the chiller), sliced some meat and packed it for us.
Today when I cooked it, the smell was completely different from normal lamb shank. I’m confident it was not lamb shank at all. At first I thought maybe it was just me, but when my husband came home and tried smelling it, he immediately agreed something was wrong.
I ended up throwing away an entire pot of food I had cooked with rice because the meat was unbearable.
It honestly feels like the butcher thinks customers are fools and can be given any type of meat. Absolutely disgusted by this experience and will never be going back.

I bought 5kg of beef from this place and was extremely disappointed. Once I opened and prepared the meat, I found that around 1.7kg of it was just fat and unusable. The worst part is that the fat was hidden inside the cut, so from the outside it looked like good quality meat. It felt very misleading and unfair to customers paying for actual meat, not excess fat. This kind of practice destroys trust. I would not recommend buying beef from here unless they improve their honesty and quality control.

I am very disappointed with my experience with Mihan. I would have given a zero rating.
I placed an order with Mihan for a specific type of meat, which was clearly communicated at the time of purchase. However, the product supplied was not what I had requested.
I raised this concern with Mihan immediately, but there was no response or resolution for almost two months, despite multiple follow-ups. When I eventually spoke to them over the phone to explain the issue calmly, the conversation became unpleasant, and I was met with unprofessional and confrontational behavior, rather than a constructive discussion.
Although a refund was eventually processed, it came only after persistent effort and without any acknowledgment of responsibility. The delay in handling the complaint and the manner in which the issue was addressed particularly during the phone call did not reflect acceptable customer service standards.
I believe it is important for potential customers to be aware of this experience before choosing to deal with Mihan.

Looking great in the new location. Great meat, diverse range of Iranian and Afghan foods. Great parking at the back off Wordsworth. Lots more great stuff in stock now: halal jellies and candy, nuts and dried fruit, some fresh items (Afghan naan and green chilies), pickled veggies.
