The contractor we employed to redo our driveway (on cashmere hill), used Kiwi Concrete to supply the concrete. Despite all previously truck that day sitting at the top of the drive on the flat, one of their drivers decided on its own accord to reverse down the driveway, very steep on loose gravel. Every concrete contractor who came on site later couldn’t believe they would have attempt to reverse down that spot…
In doing so, he reversed and broke the fence between the neighbor and us and got stuck. While spinning the wheel of the truck to get out, they damaged the main water line creating a leak. As I arrived home from work, one of their reps who was called in as the drama was unfolding, she was filling the hole with gravel to hide where the leak was. Eventually, they used another truck to pull the truck out and left without a word to us.
I had to pay for temporary fix of the leak at weekend rates, then we had to replace the entire water main line because being a old galvanised pipe about (35m long, digging a trench etc.) and I am yet to fix the fence. (Cost: around 2.5K of damages). We called them several times (including the owner), and apparently the contractor we employed signed a contract saying they are not liable to any damage on our property. The contractor (Superior Concrete Services) also bailed out and stopped answering calls and emails (lost 5k of deposit there too and had to remove the misplaced concrete).
You would have assumed that a company like Kiwi Concrete could have use their insurance to cover the damages they caused but they are managed/owned by people with low values and no integrity. They are not liable they said, despite one of their worker saying “I don’t know what he was thinking in reversing down here” in reference to the other driver.
Obviously, I do not recommend that company even a 1 star is too high. Also as more concrete specialists came by, we often heard that they were not surprised by they behavior, they had either bad experience with bad concrete batch or heard bad feedback in the industry. Please be aware...

Absolute pleasure to deal with, concrete is premium, price is even better, service is great. Don’t bother going anywhere else as these guys are cheapest. Wish I had used in the past.
