Very very disappointed. I'm a local and my experience this evening was absolutely shocking. A complete disaster started with my order being missed. Only when I asked if they had forgotten my order, did they get it done. Upon getting home I discovered it was not what I ordered. It felt as though they were very disorganised whilst I observed people coming and going. This was not my first visit to this takeaway, but it will certainly be my last. I will endeavour to make sure as many people as I can will know about it and to go somewhere else. Having worked in the hospitality industry for many years, I get very cross when the hospitality trade say they are finding it very hard. Thats bullshit. If you want a good business and return customers, try harder.
We have searched for decent fish and chips since moving Islands. Finally found them. Big pieces of fish, generous sized scoops and the burger was so good!
Great customer service. Our school was visiting from Auckland and we stayed not too far from Kaiapoi Fish & Chips & Burgers. We made a big order and they completed it in 25 mins. Delicious and very satisfying. Thank you for also helping me carry it to my van when I came to pick it up.
I made the mistake of coming in just before closing time. The fish was very dry and tasted as if it had been previously cooked and fried up again. The chips were nice. I’ve eaten here before at lunchtime and the fish and chips have been consistently good. Maybe this was just an off day.
