Brilliant little fish and chip shop, we love their meals they do! Mixed grill is a definite favourite at our house, not to badly priced either! Lovely friendly service always, a few car parks right outside, easy access in and out.

For many years the place was great. The steak and onion rolls were a real highlight and for a long time was unique in the area. Ordered 2 steak and onion rolls and a chicken pattie and a scoop. Any steak or flavor has long since fled these once majestic rolls. Chips where a disgrace really. A uniform brown like a bruise. Chicken patty was alright but had an underlying sour taste that might explosively exit me later. Won't be back. Bummer.

The chips are worth the visit alone .Chunky but not oily .old school style .I had the cod breaded fillet was a bit on the thin side for my liking .Pineapple fritter batter just ok , pineapple inside juicy and good .Everyone really enjoyed the fish and sausages wrapped nicely in parcels .Perfect dinner meal .Excellent staff .Thankyou .Classic fish and chips the kind you can only get in New Zealand .

I've been coming here since I was a kid and the shop is still run by the same family, but the mum has retired now. 90% of the time the chips are perfect, but occasionally they must use a different supplier or something, because the chips are a thicker cut and not crisp. The fish is usually very good - a bit on the small size, but you can't complain, given the price they charge.
