The place is lovely with very nice people around. The downturn is letting political parties to advertise themselves in the market.
In my point the market is a place for people to meet and socialise and unwind.Being pushed and intoxicated with these kind of things well I think Will have to skip it for a time being.
As I said is not a place of debates is a market

Set out under magnificent shade trees and gardens this monthly market is worth visiting for the setting alone. Also adjacent to the 360° City trail and you can walk beside the headwaters to the Heatcote river (just a slow moving brook at this point) through to the new sports grounds.

The recreate children who first grew the celery then made it into ( ive tried it) delicious chutney, were so excited to own their product. I cooked up butternut pumpkin and added half jar of chutney. Thats all. Pureed with stick. DELICIOUS.

Such a lovely atmosphere - love this market! Sitting under the trees, eating yummy lunch with live music. With a touch of shopping. Ideal Sunday afternoon.
