Ireland’s Property Management has shown a shocking lack of empathy, common sense, and respect for the very residents who live in the areas they manage.
Despite having plenty of reserved car parks available to them, their staff regularly choose to park on a public street with extremely limited parking in the Christchurch CBD, taking spaces that local residents rely on. This is not a one-off incident, but a repeated and conscious choice.
For a property management company operating in a city-centre location, this behaviour speaks volumes. It demonstrates a complete disregard for the surrounding community and raises serious questions about how tenants and residents are treated more broadly. If something as basic as considerate parking is beyond them, it’s hard to trust them with anything more important.
Based on this experience alone, I would not recommend doing business with this company. Professionalism isn’t just about contracts and paperwork — it’s about basic respect for others, and that is clearly lacking here.

I stayed in a student flat in Riccarton during 2025. The property manager was Sally. They were very polite and quick to respond ti email queries. Good communication made flat viewings and inspections go smoothly.

We had spent more than five years with Irelands property management one of their property @ 26A Garvins Road Hornby it’s so quite peaceful and lovely family homes me and my wife has enjoyed a lot of experience and the same time our two children’s grown up in this lovely home feels every day with fresh air surrounded with beautiful flowers and nice Lawn grass with trees , Irelands Property management has an excellent job working with property manager “Mr. Tak” is an awesome experience , very professional , caring and everyone in Irelands are so nice people we feel comfortable we’d love to work with .
So manny thanks to Irelands property management you did a Good Job !!!!!!

I've had the displeasure of renting from now three property management companies in Christchurch and I can confidently say Irelands is the only one I would willingly rent from again.
Reasons: they never tried to squeeze me. After our lease term ended, we went to a month-to-month agreement. No pressure to sign on to a long term thing, no attempt to raise our rents. They did inspections regularly, but if they couldn't get in for one reason or another, they never made a big deal of it. I'm from the US where these regular apartment inspections are unheard of and I was appalled arriving to New Zealand and experiencing these regular incursions into my personal living spaces. But Irelands appears like they aren't that big on drilling down into your living space anymore than you are interested in opening up your living spaces to your property manager.
They were so chill, that after leaving and experiencing all the nonsense other property managers put you through, I want to rent from Irelands again 😭.
