An amazing hotel with a beautiful scenery. Parking is complimentary. C/in was fast with pre auth NZD 200 taken. Breakfast was great. I would like to specifically mentioned Ms Kess from coffee house for welcoming us with great hospitality since day 1. Look fwd to stay with you guys again. Great job!

We had such a relaxing stay here. The hotel is glamorous and picturesque, with the most gorgeous well kept gardens. Our room was immaculate and modern. The breakfast buffet is amazing and the staff there were very attentive, specifically the blonde barista was so lovely to us. All the staff were warm and did their jobs seamlessly from check in to check out. The bar is gorgeous and I thoroughly enjoyed a couple of drinks there. The pool is heated and lovely. The location is very walkable to the city centre through the botanical gardens. It felt like they had thought of everything to ensure a comfortable stay.

A one-month stay at Chateau on the Park, and it was a wonderful experience. Having previously stayed here in 2010, it was great to return and see the high standards maintained. The Highlights: Cleanliness: The rooms were exceptionally clean and meticulously maintained by the housekeeping staff on a daily basis. Location: The hotel is in a prime spot. It is very close to Hagley Park and within easy walking distance to the malls and shops on Riccarton Road. Service: A huge plus was the hotel arranging reliable transport to my office every day, which made my work commute stress-free. A Personal Highlight: The most exciting part of my history with this hotel—during my 2010 visit, I actually met my favorite hero, Vijay, who was staying at the hotel for a week! Room for Improvement: Breakfast Menu: While the quality of the complimentary breakfast was good, the menu remained almost identical throughout the entire month. For long-term guests staying several weeks, a bit more variety in the rotation would be a welcome change. Overall: A fantastic choice for both long-term business stays and leisure. The combination of the beautiful surroundings and professional service makes it a top-tier option in Christchurch.

This hotel is right next to the park which is next to the "city" area. Quiet and pleasant. Hotel is lovely with beautiful gardens. Acknowledgement of the Hilton Honors status was appreciated. Did not use the gym nor pool. Continental breakfast was very good with quality coffee machine. Lots of fruit, salad and cheese. Also Museli and yogurt though oatmeal was not included. Room was good except for the peeling bathtub. The bathroom lotions, in big bottles on the wall were decent, especially since they did not include linalool (allergic). I recommend this hotel as also good valuez

Guest Review: Disappointing Stay with Serious Housekeeping Deficiencies Overall Rating: ⭐⭐ / 5 I recently stayed at this hotel for eight nights. As a local, I chose this property for its convenient location while I was managing long, 13–14 hour days preparing my nearby house for sale. Unfortunately, what should have been a restful refuge turned out to be a highly disappointing experience due to major issues with cleanliness and policy compliance. Housekeeping & Room Conditions • Ignored Service Request: The hotel's policy states that sheets are changed every three days. On my third night—when I was extending my stay and checking back in—I specifically left the green "service room" button illuminated. When I arrived back at the hotel at 9:00 PM after a long day, my room hadn't been touched at all, and the green light was still on. • The Sheets: Because of this lack of service, my sheets were only changed once during my entire eight-night stay, completely violating their three-day policy. • Stained & Damaged Bedding: On my very first night, I noticed the top sheet had visible dirty stains and holes in it. Shockingly, this exact same damaged, stained sheet remained on my bed for all eight nights. • The Bathroom: The shower area had visible pink mold and dirty grout. The bathtub was completely uninviting, as the enamel finish had worn off, leaving it looking dull and unclean. • Used Dressing Gown: When I went to use the provided robe, I found rubbish and paper intact inside the pocket. This makes it incredibly obvious that the dressing gown was not washed or changed between guests. • Excessive Dust: The amount of dust left accumulating on various surfaces in the room was genuinely shocking. • Cluttered Hallways: To make matters worse, it was a common occurrence to see vacuum cleaners and dirty laundry bags left sitting out in the hallways overnight, which looked incredibly untidy. Dining & Breakfast I used the breakfast service three times during my stay. It was a mixed experience: • The Positives: The freshly cooked poached eggs were lovely. • The Negatives: On a couple of occasions, the plates provided at the buffet were completely cold, which quickly ruined the hot food. Final Thoughts It is such a shame, as this property has potential, but the lack of basic hygiene and failure to follow their own room-servicing policies ruined the experience. As a local, I wanted to love it, but I was not impressed and sadly cannot recommend staying here until management addresses these severe housekeeping failures.
