A first class hotel, in a great location. Next to Hagley Park, Riccarton Road (plenty of eateries, bus stops, Westfield Shopping Centre). The hotel offers a delicious breakfast, lunch and evening meal in either the dining room or bar area. The rooms are roomy with comfortable beds. Beautiful gardens, and outdoor pool. Would recommend a visit here.
I am surprised to see how low this place is rated. I had a very good experience here from the moment I checked in until the day I left. The girls at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. The rooms are good size and the bed is comfortable. Their continental breakfast is delicious and completely worth it. Cheers to Lily at the bar for her great conversation and great attitude of service.
Such a beautiful hotel. The grounds were impeccable. Loved every single inch of it. The rooms were great. Shower was small but best water pressure. Front desk clerk Angel was great.
I just want to say, what a wonderful wonderful stay at the Chateau on the Park I had last night. Was there for work. The service, from arrival to goodbye 👋 and the room, room service and the glorious bath!! I love ❤️ having a bath, was so lovely. 5am walk around Hagley Park at sunrise was amazing 👏 and OMG the food at breakfast 😬😬🤩😋🥰 wow. Best buffet ever INCLUDING veges!! Coffee ☕️ amazing and enjoyed outside in the garden amongst the roses 🌹 😍. And, was a trip down memory lane as in 1982 it was known as the Chateau Regency where I had my first job in the five-star restaurant where I was a waiter and learnt how to delicately pour and twist red wine 🍷. Honestly, after amazing day on the Pacific Coast train from Picton this was shocking. I have booked nice balcony GARDEN view room and i was given an entry car park view. I wanted to cry, i was so misarable and angry at the same time , you have destroyed the New Years Ever for me. The worst day to finish 2025. I had to downgrade my roon to get some kind of garden view. J.hun, the Dm was a very nice lady and very kind and its not her fault and dont dare blaming her but the morning manager who had 0 regards for morality, or most likely like the GM who force the team to false advertise just to make money and sell room that have nothing to do with the pictures advertised is at fault here. Im here for 2 days so will see but so far this is complete disaster. Im to change rooms tomorrow to what i have actually booked so lets see, just dont understand why i have to compromise today and suffer. Shame on you. Dont recommend for someone who wants to relax. Maybe bussiness hotel but nothing to do with laisure. Just having shitty day instead of sipping nice wine on the balcony with view i had paid for....
