Excellent!!! We have just enjoyed a 5 night stay at Centre Point on Colombo. Location excellent, short walk into CBD, and restaurants. We stayed in a split level room, bedroom upstairs; with the lounge, bathroom and kitchenette downstairs. Perfect configuration for a 5 night stay. Extremely clean, comfortable and great shower and bed. All of which are important to us. Owner and day manager very friendly and lovely to deal with. We have stayed here during the previous ownership, New owners and manager are excellent..Please consider Centre Point on Colombo for your Christchurch stay. We will definitely return again soon. Welcoming staff walked me to my room. The room was very spacious. Downside was the noise in the mornings from the storeroom next to my room. My room didn't get serviced while I was out which was a bit disappointing but all in all the place was a good place to stay and close to town hall for the event I was in town for.
Horrible manager, additional charges that you only find out about when you get there. $10 for a parking spot - at a motel? Its a motel! Location was good but the service and the owner treated us very badly, no willingness to accommodate or admit to mistakes. Thank you Leon for a terrible time in Christchurch.
Very clean, pleasant room. However kitchen equipment, cutlery, crockery is minimal and only a microwave. Owner was very helpful but intrusive. Beware he may enter your room anytime. Second morning about 10am he brought workmen in with a very loud drill to remove the safe from the wardrobe. I guess he thought we would be out, but should have asked our permission first anyway.
One of the only hotels that was offering one bedroom with two twin beds, so perfect for two friends travelling together. Small room with nice clean bathroom and kitchenette. Away from the street side but still quite a lot of noise when people were coming and going from adjacent rooms so beware if you have kids and they need space to be...kids! Easy little ten minute walk to Oxford terrace or down to the Botanic Gardens and Hagley Park. Lots of nearby eateries.
