This is a beautiful store to look at. The items are a little over priced but they are chic and right on trend. It's so beautifully layed out and the cafè that is joined to it called ten 27 is one of my favourite cafes in Chch for the service and the quality of the food. But that is where the similarities end. I don't think that I have ever been treated so poorly by staff ever. I honestly can't think of a time that I have felt so uncomfortable in a store. I will include photos of how beautiful this store is. But the staff need to learn some manners and etiquette when dealing with the public. The feeling we got was ' you don't have enough money to be here' and I wasn't the only one that got that vibe. I would NOT waste my money there with that snooty poor attitude. Very disapointed.

Edit. Now that we've done a public review they've found the paperwork. We weren't given any information from the supplier other than the person who might know where it is, is away on holiday when we called them ourselves. They couldn't give us what we needed in a timely manner. We had the electrician out to install it at our cost. We like the lampshade and don't want a refund. We just wanted the appropriate legal documentation that should have been available in store on request. We have changed the fitting to one that is appropriate for NZ standards again at our own cost. The "ball" is in your court to improve your systems and communication.
Bought a lampshade on sale. Wasn't given documentation so electrician wouldn't install it. Asked for documentation but they and their supplier couldn't supply appropriate documentation. We were told "we haven't had any issues before " [probably because the other lampshades had documentation]. It's illegal to sell light fittings without documentation (SDOC). Manager was rude and took no responsibility for making things right for us. The electrician is liable if something goes wrong so they are right to not install it. I don't trust that they wouldn't re sell the item to someone else. Won't be returning to this store or recommending it.

The store is beautiful, and I would buy everything in it on aesthetics alone - but the real star of this review is Sandy, who went above and beyond to ensure we got a couch that would work for us.
Sandy helped coordinate a time for us to visit Jade Furniture in person, to pick out the fabrics and fill for our couch and discuss possible configuration options, and even used the Casual & Country in store Libby (the couch we ordered) as a sample to show how it can be used as a king single mattress (complete with sheets and a model for scale).
Truly an exceptional service experience. Highly recommend this shop to anyone looking for great service and quality furniture and homewares.

The home store is one of my favourite shops. It has a high standard of product, displayed beautifully. The staff are very down to earth and extremely helpful. A good excuse to go for a drive out of the city, then finish with a coffee next door. The cafe is always busy. Sumner is just a short drive past this for a walk on the beach.

Great shop to come and get something a little bit different for the house and it comes with amazing customer service.
I loved the selection of cushions and throws on offer. I was offered APRO too which I had never heard of before and was a fantastic suggestion. It enabled me to go home and check the colours all coordinated.
They didn't have everything I wanted in store but offered to order it in and I was given their sale discount on the entire order. I was given an estimated ETA and so hopefully in 2 weeks my living room will have some new life breathed into it.
There is a nice selection of gifts and cards too and I often find something appropriate here for my friends/family.
I also love that it's attached to a cafe. It was too busy today for me to wait and place my order and in hindsight, I should have checked the queue first and ordered my coffee before wandering around the homeware store to cut down on the wait time.
