Had a fantastic experience at the Camelot Motor Lodge, where I stated in one of their massive apartments (see video to get an idea).
The place was well kept, the bed was comfortable, shower/bath worked well. Equally valuable, the staff was incredibly kind and communicative. They reached out shortly after booking to ask for my arrival info and if I needed any accommodations (to which I only replied weeks later, a few days before my arrival, and which they were happy to help out with). The wonderful staff also helped me find a private place to take a work call after I had checked out, which is immensely appreciated.
The Lodge is well placed (a 10-20 NZD Uber from the train station, airport, or downtown), and within walking distance of the heart of Christchurch.
I'll definitely be back if ever I'm back in Christchurch!!

The lodge that we stayed in is very spacious and good for the cousins to spend time together. And the pool is direct access from the kitchen access. Easily accessible to public bus service which I think is reasonable , NZD6/pax/day max using debit/credit card.
Monila is on duty when we checked in. She welcome us with a sweet smile, and make good arrangement to ease our transit. Appreciate so much for the kind gesture.
Another staff is also very patient and help my boy with the key access to our unit.

Rooms were a great size and thats where anything good about the place ends. The whole place felt run down and I wasn't impressed with the state of our room. Mold on the curtains and generally dirty feeling, tv was broken and wardrobe door was hanging off the rail. We also went out for the day and returned to the room l
unlocked after the cleaner had been in. Would not stay again.

We stayed here during a city visit and had a pleasant experience. The room was clean, the location was very convenient, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout the stay. It is good choice for a comfortable city stay.

It was supposed to be a place to rest and break the long drive and it was but the beauty of it is the potential for other things. Centrally located with above basic amenities ( play area for kids, soaking pool and 1 for 1 unit parking) for a motor lodge. The 2BR we had was spacious, well equipped kitchen and living room. 1 queen size bed and 2 single bed on the loft, with 3 single beds on the other room. Bathroom is on the ground floor.
