Writing this review while the memory is still fresh. Met one of the rudest, most unhelpful person in Christchurch at this store on the afternoon of the 20th of Feb.
There were two ladies, one younger and an older one who appeared to be in charge. She was supremely unhelpful. We needed to get/purchase small plastic bags to put batteries in for security. We asked for help, and offered to pay for plastic bags which were literally in front on us. The first lady was thinking. But the second one came out and said 'sorry hun, can't help you' in the most rude impolite tone. It was bizarre and completely unlike Christchurch.
My sister who was visiting from the US was shocked! To think you can behave like this at an airport where you are supposed to be the face of the city is embarassing.
The store was empty by the way. Not another soul. So it's not like we were interrupting. And we were happy to pay for the bags.
I hope someone from the management reads this review. And if that lady 'was' management, I want travelers and tourists to know that Christchurch is better than this store.

It was amazing to be in store of Antarctica, they have beautiful range of gift items on a very reasonable price as compared to other shops.
A special thank to Karen who helped me getting exactly what i wanted
and made my whole trip more wonderful before i departed New
Zealand. Will always remember my beautiful experience.

Lovely shop and wonderful lady at the counter, helped me with what I needed. Great gift shop!
