I've been going to A1 Auto in Fitzgerald Ave for over a decade, and I'd never take my car anywhere else! Brent (BJ) and his team of guys are absolute tops... knowledgeable, thorough - and most importantly, HONEST! If you're like me and don't know how to do much more than keep your tyre pressure up and check the oil and water in your vehicle, then there's nothing more reassuring than knowing you're not getting ripped off when it comes to car repairs. You hear about it happening so often these days... people take their pride and joy somewhere to get something minor fixed, and end up spending hundreds (if not thousands) on other stuff they never knew they needed because mechanics can easily take advantage of customers being none the wiser. Like, if you don't know any different, how can you question it, right? And that's why I couldn't recommend BJ and his team highly enough. My daughter takes her car there now, so does my partner, and I've encouraged mates to go to A1 Auto too. Every one of them walks away happy! Their workshop on Fitzgerald Ave is quite busy at times, but there's good reason for that and it doesn't take a rocket scientist to work out why. If you've got an issue with your car, do yourself a favour and take it to a mechanic you can trust. Their prices are actually quite reasonable too just quietly, and that's the icing on the cake.
Took over 2 months (and a lot of varying excuses) to get a refund on services paid for in advance plus 4x 1hr additional trips into town for a job that kept changing, so eventually ended up using a local mechanic. Was way way more stress than necessary. After 30years of supporting them I'd never use again.
Used to come here for my wofs as i lived very close, they often do work on your vehicle without contact and charge you when you collect your car, very unprofessional. I queried a repair on my partners car via a phone call due to a strange noise after the repair. Got abused over the phone just asking some questions about the repair, never been back since. Worse mechanic I've been to by far. Would give negative stars if I could
I have been taking my car here for a few years now and have always had nice respectful service. My Car has always been looked at and fixed straight away with clear indications of the work being done and the costs that come with it. This place never fails with amazing customer service every time. Keep it up
VOUCHER SCAM Bought the $150 voucher. Then when I drove in, been told something wrong with wheel balance of my car, will cost around $600 to fix, turned out no problem at all. Keep away from the VOUCHER SCAM.
