136 On Bealey – Motel

I arrived at 136 On Bealey at about 10.30pm from.the airport. I was having a hypo and could not figure out the lock box for the key as I was disoriented. The lovely man that runs the motel came and opened it for me. While the motel is obviously aged, my room was comfortable, very clean and well presented, and the bed is I think the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on.i want to know the brand because seriously, I would buy one of these beds. The location was great. The room rate is fabulous. All in all what a great stay.

Once you get past the odiforous reception, the corridor is smart, Likewise the rooms are well appointed, though typically somewhat dark! Street-front rooms are warm and bright, though the single-glazing means you clearly hear the traffic at all hours. Rear rooms are the inverse!

Overall, it was a pleasant and comfortable stay. The room had everything we needed, the staff were welcoming, and the location was perfect. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

Great place to stay for a quick business trip, centrally located. A little bit dated building but they have done a thorough refurbishment. Good value for what I have paid for

The bed was comfortable and the tv worked, that was about the only good thing here unfortunately. The room we booked was not the room we got, but the motel was fully booked that night no vacancies, so we got on with it. Shower pressure was bad and when the sink was used at the same time as someone was in the shower, the sink only gave out completely cold water. Some of the dishes in our room were not clean and parts of the room also weren’t clean. If you’re someone who struggles to sleep with any noises, don’t book here as the walls are paper thin we heard everything from the next room.
